10 Months

Sweet Barrett has had quite a month! He has been pulling himself up and scooting across the room with any piece of furniture that gets in his way. He continues to be obsessed with his blocks, and he loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He smiles at the tv like he recognizes Mickey.

Barrett's also turned into quite a cuddly baby, and he's learned how to give kisses. (Which simultaneously melts my heart and makes me laugh!) His version of kissing is a wide open mouth diving for you. Your cheek. Your lips. Your eye. Whatever he's focused on in that second.

Things I don't want to forget:
  • If there is ANY version of a tunnel, he will try to crawl right through it: 2 pieces of furniture, the table and the couch, my legs, the legs of a chair ... It doesn't matter. If he think there is any possibility he can fit through it, he's going to try.
  • Watching him think about if something is strong enough to support him when he uses it to stand up.
  • The way he comes at you when he wants to kiss you
  • His giggles when we are playing or when he's being tickled
  • The fact that he can't just pick up one Cheerio at a time to eat ... He has to have ALL of them at once
  • His curly hair that is sitting on top of the straight hair growing in
  • His toothy baby smile
  • That it was a really big deal to me that he learned how to clap. And everytime we say "good job" he starts clapping his hands
  • The way his head feels on my shoulder in those moments where he just needs his mommy
  • That every now and then, in the middle of playing, he will climb up in my lap and snuggle for a few minutes. We just sit there for a few minutes .... And it's back to playtime.
