Zoo Family Field Trip!

The weather was so pretty today, we couldn't stay inside.  So we put on our shades ....

... and headed to the zoo

It's family tradition to take a picture on the elephant each time we go.

The hit of the day was the reptiles, amphibians, and fish.  All three kids were mesmerized!

Zoo Day!

Barrett and I decided to take the twins to their first trip to the zoo today.   My friend, Kara, invited us last night, but I didn't tell Barrett until this morning.  He was snuggling (forcing her to like his face waaay to close to her face) with Payton when I asked him if he wanted to go to the zoo.

He immediately stopped, looked around, and with a smirk on his face said, "Yeeeeessss?" Followed by everything he wanted to do at the zoo: "I want to go to the zoo.  And see all the AM-ma-mals.   And I going to see how tall the giraffe is.  It's a taaaall giraffe!  And elephants.  Elephants are at the zoo, Mommy?"    I've never seen him more motivated to get dressed and get out of the house so fast! Sweet boy was also very helpful getting his sisters dressed so we could get to the zoo quickly!

All the Kids
Clearly, a certain toddler was not in the mood to take a picture.  Maybe it has something to do with what's going on in the background.

Sleepy Boy on the Way Home
Today was exhausting!  I wish I could have slept on the way home too!  But we were able to have fun with the help of all the other moms who were with us ...which I'm so thankful for because Barrett got to have an amazing day instead of sitting at home all day with his sisters.

Until Next Time AM-ma-mals!
