These girls KNOW how to have birthday fun! Everything they did was princess-themed or had tutus and sparkles. What else does a little girl need?
During their last dance class as three-year-olds, the girls got to try on their dance costumes. Despite being a little itchy, they loved the sparkles and twirly tutus.
We also had to make a stop at the dentist. These two make me want to have a twin! They depend on each other, look out for each other, and protect each other. They also help each other be brave. Especially at the dentist.
This year for their birthday party, we decided to party with our favorite princesses. They just happened to be in town for the twins birthday, so obviously we thought this would be a fun idea!
Princess Elena: What's your favorite thing to do?
Parker: Twirl!

While big brother was in school, we celebrated with our friend, Ayla Joy, and Chick-Fil-A.
She even brought us cupcakes to eat!
And then the celebrations REALLY started. The girls brought pink cupcakes to school to celebrate with their class.
And a quick Girls Trip to Gamma's house to celebrate with Jordan. AND "real life" Cinderella. We listened to the soundtrack in the car for weeks, to get excited. And Gamma gave each of the girls a Cinderella doll to take with them to the play. It was SUCH a fun night, and such fun memories were made
Birthday Eve ended with the sweetest cousin sleep over.
"Everyone who is going to wake up as a four year old tomorrow ... raise your hand!"
And then it happened. They turned four. Both of them. My babies! No more toddlers in our house.
Back at home, we had a surprise visitor waiting for us!
Barrett couldn't wait to celebrate his sisters' birthday when he got home from school. Ok - he was probably just excited about his cupcake. He knows the quicker we open presents, the quicker he gets a cupcake.
One last celebration: at Uncle David's house.
Four years ago, I was terrified to bring these TWO babies home from the hospital. I didn't know what that year was going to bring, or how tired I would be, or if I would even survive taking care of two babies at the same time.
And here we are ... four years later ... and these two have captured my heart in such a unique way. Watching these two sisters talk, laugh, play, (and fight!) and develop their twin bond and connection is such a gift from God. He definitely went above and beyond when answering our prayers about having a family.
