Turkey Day!

What a FUN Holiday Week!  Barrett has found pure joy in decorating the house for Christmas, Gamma and Poppy came to visit, AND we spent Thanksgiving Day at Nana and Papa's house.

We surprised the kids after dinner by taking them to see The Good Dinosaur.  Barrett was SO EXCITED!   He loves going to the movies.

"We're going to see the Dinosaur movie at the theater?!?!   YEA!!!!!!"

Never Stays Still
She really thought she was in her own personal playground.

Movie Time

Hey Payton

Watching the Finding Dory Preview

As long as we kept giving the kids popcorn, they sat pretty still. Every time the dinosaur got hurt or scared the twins would look up at us and say "Di-sore okay? Di-sore okay? Di-sore okaaaaay??? Moommmyyyy?!?" Good thing nobody expects kids to be quiet in a kids movie!

So much to be thankful for this year, and we had a great day celebrating with our families! I keep getting so emotional when I think about what a great little family I have. This is going to be such a fun holiday season with the littles! In the past, some of our holidays have been hard due to heartache and loss. After putting on a smile to make it through some of those days, each Thanksgiving and Christmas makes me appreciate what I have all that much more. God has blessed me way more than I deserve.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Oh! Heeeeeyyyyy Christmas!

Big Boy Bed

The time has finally come.

I tried to pretend like it wasn't going to happen.  I told myself he was still a baby, and my baby needed to stay on his crib mattress. The bed frame was technically still his crib.  It's the only bed he's ever slept in.
But I couldn't deny it any longer.  Sweet boy ran out of room on his crib mattress.
It's time ... For a Big Boy Bed.
Mommy's heart wasn't quite ready.  But Barrett sure was excited!

Fall Is In The Air

It FINALLY feels like fall! We have spent our days enjoying the cool weather outside, getting ready for the holidays, and playing HARD!  My favorite noises these days are the seals and pitter patter of little feet running all over the house.

Hello?

School Pictures
We didn't order them because this was the best one.  Really.  But at least I've got it documented somewhere :)

The twins have found a new passion in life: the slide.  They probably took turns going down this slide for a good thirty minutes at the park.  Love that they can do it themselves! (Well.  After Payton fell off of it the first 10 times she did it, she finally learned how to stop at the bottom of the slide without face planting.)
It cracks me up how DIFFERENTLY these two actually approach the slide.

Someone, who will remain nameless, has learned a lot about time-out the past few weeks.  Sweet girl, if you stop throwing your food, you can stop doing to time-out!
She was breaking my heart.  So naturally, I took pictures

Giving His First Love Note to a Girl
He was so excited about drawing a "perfect B" on this little piece of paper.  He just KNEW she was going to love it.   When he gave it to her, they were standing in a circle of adults ... All watching what was going to happen.  She totally played in cool in front of him, but her mom told me she talked about this little note the whole way home.  I love these two.
