First Day Of School

EVERYBODY is going to preschool this year!  They are all so excited.  I think the girls might be more excited about the idea of school than the reality, but they'll get used to it!

First up: Meet the Teacher
Ready to Go!

Love it When I Catch Them Both Smiling

The twins were a little unsure about what was happening, but they both wanted to show their new teacher their pretty, pink fingernails.

Mrs. Eldridge and Parks
She's the only one I could convince to take a picture.  By the end of the year she's going to be hugging her teacher so big and showing off that Parker smile.

Payton Found a Slide!
She's smiling .... I'm taking that as a WIN

And Barrett was reunited with his teacher from last year!
Mrs. McEwan (MA-GOOOO-en) and Barrett
We are so excited!!!!!

On our last day of official summer we practiced using our nap mats, made breakfast for the next morning, and packed our lunches for our VERY first day!

The next morning was the BIG Day!
Barrett

Parker

Payton
We always know EXACTLY how she's feeling.  No poker face.  (Just like her Mommy ;))

Our biggest challenge of the morning was getting a picture of all three of them together.  And, well, here's what happened:

I Have No Words For This One
I can't stop laughing at it though.  Poor Barrett is trying so hard to keep his smile even though Payton is crying, and Parker is trying to give him the sign.  I think this look says, "I"m trying to hold this smile Mom. Really.  I am, but these girls are driving be crazy!"

Nailed It

I jumped in some pics with high hopes of smiling pictures.  It kind of worked?

Ready to Go!
These two are OBSESSED with their lunch boxes.

Putting Stuff in Their Baskets. Such big Girls

I took a couple of sneaky pictures through the classroom windows so I could see how they were doing without them seeing me.
One Twin Being Held, One Twin Playing
Yep.

So Excited to See His School Buddies Again!
Last year was such a tough year for him.  New town, new house, new friends, new school, new teacher .... and he just had a really hard time adjusting.  Tonight, Barrett asked me what my favorite part of the day was.  It was this.  Watching him walk into his classroom, so sure of himself, and feeling confident.

At pick up, I saw that Nathan (yea for cousins in our class!) and the girls were hanging out waiting for us to come get them.  I wonder what's going through the girls mind when Nathan is there, but the rest of their cousins are nowhere to be found.
Best Picture I Could Get of These Two.  Seriously.

Getting Her Rewards Before We Leave

And in true Wilson fashion, we went out for cupcakes to celebrate a great first day!

Looking So Little, Yet so Big at the Same Time
I spent all day thinking about how big this boy is.  He's the oldest group in his preschool, he towers over his sisters, and he's just turning into such a cool kid.  This picture made me stop.  He very rarely looks "little" to me.  And in this picture, time stood still.  For just a moment.

Ready to Go Home and Call It a Day

And Last, But Not Least ....
Proof that Payton Does Smile for Pictures
