3 Months

We have really started to find our rythm this month.  The girls are taking  naps in their room now, and they are starting to fall into a bit of a routine. We just started taking naps in a crib instead of their Rock 'N Plays. Next step; sleeping in their cribs at night! Our typical day looks like this:
Wake up around 9.
Eat. Play. Tummy time. Smiles for Mommy and Big Brother.
Nap until lunch.  (Anywhere between 11:30 and 1)
Eat. Play. Tummy time. More smiles.
Nap until dinner. They usually eat around 5:30.
Eat. Play.  More tummy time. Hang out while we eat dinner.
Eat around 8:30 or 9.
Bedtime.
Wake up to eat around 3:30.
Wake up to eat around 7.
Start all over.

Most mornings are full of smiles. Even Barrett enjoys trying to get them to smile.  It's like a game.

Whoa! These pics were taken at the beginning of the month .....

....can't believe how much they have changed in just a few weeks!

Their personalities have stayed pretty consistent:
Typical Sceanrio.  Same Twin, Same Behavior

Tummy time is still a bit of a struggle for us.  But we are really trying hard, especially since we found out  Payton might have some head issues.

Big Brother Comforting Her

And Occaisionally Both Girls are Content at the Same Time

Since the weather is starting to be pretty again, Big Brother and I are spending more and more time outside.  Selfishly, it makes me feel a little less trapped in my house all the time.  (Not very many places I can go with all 3 kids). And he gets to run, be loud, be messy, and be a little boy without worrying about waking up his sisters.
Picnic Lunch

The craziness of having newborn twins is starting to become my new normal.  I feel like I'm starting to be able to manage it ok, but when I stop and think about everything I have to do in a day, it still seems like chaos.  And then there are moments like this:
"Mommy's Coming Sweet Girl"
Really?   Ugh. I love that sweet boy.

During our trip to Gamma and Poppy's house, the girls met their other great grandmother.
Mommy, the Twins, and Maw Maw

Aunt Lindsey and Jordan joined in the fun too!
Barrett Girls
Maw Maw had 4 great grandsons in a row. Looked like another generation of Barrett men .... Until the girls started to dominate!  She now has 4 great granddaughters (little Libby, my kids' second cousin, is not much older than the twins!)

Pretty Days!

Today was GORGEOUS outside!  So we ventured out for a little storytime at the library and a little playtime at the park. It was just what we needed after yesterday's dark, rainy, pajama day!

Easter Weekend

"Jesus died. But then he's alive ... And God FLIES!"  This is the phrase we heard over and over again this weekend.  He may be confusing Jesus with Superman.  Or he may just be spiritually gifted and can imagine Jesus ascending into heaven.  Either way ... it's pretty darn cute.  I'll take it!

We started the weekend with an Easter Egg Hunt with friends.

Waiting to get started ... At least Caroline is Egg-cited!

Then we spent some time dying Easter Eggs:

The girls attending their first Easter Church Service ... but they were sleeping the whole time so I didn't get pictures of their cute dresses.  They did so well during the service though!  Matt and I were able to actually listen instead of having to hold them, bouncing and swaying back and forth in the back of the sanctuary.

Sweet Parker Girl ~ I'm sorry.  This really was the best one.  I'll make sure you're the rock star baby in your 3 month pictures.  You really looked a lot cuter than this.  I promise.

Then we headed to Nana and Papa's house for Easter Lunch.   We had so much fun playing with cousins and aunts and uncles.

It was a great weekend! I love that Little Man is getting old enough to start to understand what this holiday is all about.  He can tell you that Jesus died, and that He's alive, and he knows he made a Cross at church.  One day he will connect all the dots.

My Sweet Babies, I don't think I was ever truly able to grasp the sacrifice that God made for us until you each entered our lives.  The fact that Jesus made it possible for all 3 of you to spend eternity in Heaven with Him is overwhelming to me.  As your parents, we are looking forward to watching you learn and teaching you about His Word and walking with you as you learn more about  Christ's love for each of you.  We love you.

Basketball Nights

Last night we went to Nana and Papa's house to play some basketball.  Well, Daddy played basketball, Mommy and Barrett watched, and the twins cuddled with Aunt Kelley and Aunt Rachel.

And then Uncle David grabbed his attention.
"Uncle David Fuuunnnnnnyyyy"

He Would Have Done This for Hours

Once we found a basketball just his size, he wanted to join in the fun with the big boys (and Aunt Tracey.  Girl plays a meeeeaan game of basketball.  She totally holds her own with those boys).

Okay .... we might not be ready for the pros yet. But Uncle Chris, surely you can use this for his first recruiting video.  College ball is in this kid's future ;)

Sports will probably be a special event you share with your dad as you get older.  So thanks for letting Mommy take you out to the baseball game for the afternoon.  I had just as much fun as you did Little One!
