Birthdays are kind of big deal around here! We celebrate all week and party 'till we drop.
We started the week eating at Barrett's favorite restaurant: Chuy's. And he decided to take a selfie to celebrate his good lunch choice ;)

The next day we found some time to hang with Daddy and visit the aquarium

And Barrett Actually Tries to Fly His Little Plane
We walked for quite a while (and did a little shopping!) before we found the perfect birthday week treat!
Dippin' Dots ... Still the Ice Cream of the Future?
Barrett as been on a picture taking kick lately. Probably because he sees me do it all the time. And his pictures are getting better and better. We are actually IN the pictures now!
"Mommy, Can I take a Picture of You and Sisters?"
The twins and I decided to go pick up a cookie cake for Barrett while he was in school. Here's the problem: you can't really park close to the food court. So I had to carry the cake, while pushing a double stroller that doesn't turn well, with twins repeating "cookie coooookie COOOOOOOKIIIIEEEE " while they bounce up and down.
Can't Blame Them For Getting Excited About Cookie Cake!
Then the big birthday finally came!
We started with a breakfast of champions while watching cartoons ...
And then headed to the zoo! (It was only 97 degrees outside ~ In October)

My Favorite Boy!
We went back to the Pumpkin Patch for pictures before a quick pizza dinner and cake! I couldn't decide which pictures to use, so I just included all my favorites. I love pumpkin patch pictures!(Get ready .... there are a LOT!)
After a little birthday cake we called it a day!
Sweet Boy. You have no idea how much we love you. And how much we love watching you grow and learn new things every single day.
Sometimes we just wish time would slow down; like in those moments when you ask us to explain baptism, or explain Bible stories, or when we tell you how you are our "real-life miracle" and watch you soak it all in.
But if time did actually slow down, we wouldn't be able to experience all the new things you learn: like writing your name for the first time, remembering and retelling us your Bible stories and memory verses, and making connections about what you learn in school with the environment around you. And we wouldn't get to watch you be an INCREDIBLE big brother to those sisters of yours. The older they get, the better brother you become.
WE LOVE YOU BIRTHDAY BOY!
