Barrett has been "jumping" for months. He looks up at me with a huge smile on his face and says "Watch this Mommy! I jump!" Then he shows me how he "jumps" ... Which is basically taking two big steps, really quickly, on his tip toes. However, sometime in the past couple of weeks he figured out how to actually jump. Both knees bent, and air under his feet! (I no longer feel like a terrible mom for letting him "practice" on his bed. I mean ... It worked!)
We have a trampoline park pretty close to us, but he's never really gotten much out of it. Actually, he's been pretty scared of it. But now that he can actually jump, I thought we should try it again!
So while Gamma was here this week, Barrett and I went on a couple of Super
Special Surprise Dates. We both needed a little Mommy/Barrett time. We went to storytime at the library one day, and to the trampoline park the next.
