Mother's Day seems to always have a different meaning to me. When I was little, it was all about making my mom's day extra special. Although, I had no idea how hard being a mom is until I became one myself.
As an adult Mother's Day has been: a day of anticipation of things to come as a new mommy, a reminder of the babies that I lost, and a celebration of being a Mommy that God allows me to be.
As I spent the day with my family this Mother's Day, I was overwhelmed with the understanding of how great God really is. If we hadn't had to endure the struggles that we went through, none of these precious babies would be here on this earth. And a life without Barrett (the sweetie that made me a mommy), Parker (the baby girl we waited for years to meet), and Payton (our bonus baby ... a little wink from God) is unimaginable to me. Their souls and their hearts were made specifically for me to love and nurture, and I am so grateful for the family that God has given to Matt and me.
My weekend started out with beautiful flowers
On Sunday we went to church, out to eat, napped!, and played with the kids.

Barrett took a picture of Mommy and Parker ....
.... So I took a picture of him and Payton.
Picked out His Own Jam Jams (yes, those would be shorts over pajama pants)
Barrett, Parker, and Payton. I love you so much. Thank you for helping Daddy make my day so special.
