The Wilsons: 6 Months

We made it to 6 months!!! Both twins and both of their parents made it to six months! We are having so much fun with our little ones. It's still a lot of work, but so much fun. They continue to be good sleepers. (I mean, they're babies so it's not a perfect system. But I cannot even believe that they sleep as well as they do!) Barrett seemed so much older at 6 months, but he could also sit up and hold his bottle. We're getting there!

They are also interacting with us, Barrett, and each other more. It is the CUTEST thing ever when they smile at each other or try to play. The other night we set their car seats facing each other, and they were so excited to see their sister they both started kicking as hard and as fast as they good. Their feet kept hitting each other ... which made them kick and smile even bigger and harder. They've also started comforting each other. Payton rolled over to put her hand on Parker when she was crying the other day. Apparently she did the same thing the next day when Matt was getting them ready for bed. So sweet.

As I type this, Parker is in her new jumper and Payton is in the piano toy. And I'm pretty sure Parker just laughed at Payton. They're facing each other and "talking." You can tell they are playing with each other because they both start jumping, kicking, or playing the piano keys with their feet. How fun to be born at the same time as your sister.

They have both started grabbing toys to play with. Which is amazing because they are entertained for more than about 30 seconds. It's so cute to watch them figure out how to grab different toys and blankies. You can almost see their brains trying to think out each step.

Jordan's Birthday Party was so fun! I love seeing all the cousins together. We didn't get a picture of all of them together this time .... but we will soon!

I've been putting off giving them solids because ... well .. there's two of them. And the thought of teaching both of them how to eat, finding foods they both like, etc. really overwhelmed me. Then this happened:

How did I not see that one coming? I could eat guacamole for every meal, and Matt avoids it at all costs. Of course our little mini-mes would feel the same way!

how determined Payton is to sit up
the way Parker holds her feet up to her chest
the way both twins think through how they are going to reach for a toy
how both their faces light up and their legs start kicking when Mommy walks in the room
they way Payton laughs and giggles at Barrett
the way Barrett give the girls hugs and kisses by smothering them with his face
how Parker can't keep her hands off her feet, Payton can't keep her hands out of her mouth, and Barrett can't keep his hands of his sisters' faces
