Barrett's first year of preschool couldn't have been better. Not only did he learn about shapes, letters, numbers, etc. But I watched him grow socially.
The first day of school I cried because I didn't know how my shy little boy would do all day without me. I was worried he would feel abandoned with these strangers called "teachers." I was worried he wouldn't play with the other kids in the class. I was worried that he would not like going to school at home.
On the last day of school I cried because I walked in to find Barrett playing duck duck goose with this class, and then he clung to his teachers when he saw me. Mrs. Byars and Mrs. Leon have loved Barrett so much this year. And the feeling is mutual. He didn't want to say good-bye.
