Christmas Eve! We started with some time with just the 5 of us before the crazy of the next couple of days hit us. A calm, quiet day is just what we needed. We slept in and then went out for brunch. Can't think of a better way to start the day than breakfast pizza!
The first present of Christmas: mail from Aunt Mary and Aunt Rachel inviting them to a sleepover.
After a lazy afternoon of Christmas movies, we got ready to meet Nana and Papa for Christmas Eve service at church.
Christmas officially starts when we get to Nana and Papa's house for Christmas Eve together.
The Wilson side of the family has a tradition of eating homemade cinammon rolls on Christmas morning. Each Christmas Eve, somebody pulls out the old family recipe and gets to work. This year, the little ones jumped in to help. Little did they know, they were helping with a family recipe that's been passed down over the years .... it's a part of their heritage.
The last activities before bedtime: Reindeer Food and Milk and Cookies for Santa.
The BIG day came! The kids got exactly what they wanted from Santa. We had a quiet morning with just the five of us before we hit the road to go to Gamma and Poppy's House.
Tweensters!
My Little Meeester!
Seesters!
The making of a semi-ok, hey at least everyone is looking at the camera, family photo:
We stayed a couple extra days to hang with our cousins.
Where There is a Baby ... There is a Payton
Love. Love. Love.
I love these sweet girls and their sweet friendship so much. Watching this friendship blossom from such a young age has been so fun for us to watch!
See Ya Next Year!
