Our little family of 5 spent the morning in La Jolla to visit the Sea Lions, get another view of the coast, and do a little shopping. Ok, I was the only one who wanted to go shopping. So we ate Mexican food and had margaritas with a seaside view instead. I didn't complain.

After naps, we all went out to dinner. Didn't get a picture of everybody (the kids were craaaaazies):
And Parks had a cute moment with Gamma and Poppy:
"I FLYYYY!"
Hey Cutie
That next morning we woke up before the sun to drive down to Disneyland. We only had one day there, and we definitely made the most of it! I think we were there for like 13 hours!
Glimpse of the Kids' Reactions When We Told Them The Surprise
We started our day at Disney California Adventure. All 5 kids looooved this park! It had little something for everyone: Princess Breakfast, Radiator Springs, Disney Junior, and Mickey and Minnie.
First Up: Princess Time! As soon as we arrived, we were greated by Ariel herself at Ariel's Grotto for breakfast with all of our princess friends. All the kids were a little clingy at first, but my niece kept jumping out of her chair to give each princess the biggest, most meaningful hugs you've ever seen! And my girls? Well, their, "What do you think you're doing standing by me?" glares got a little less intense the longer we were there.
Ariel Welcoming Us Into "Part of Her World"
My Favorite Little Prince
Don't feel too bad for him. He spent the ENTIRE rest of the day in Carsland and meeting Star Wars characters with his dad. And he got to color and eat muffins at breakfast! #disneylandwin
Snow White
Sweet Payton Girl. Just look at her! :)
(As the pictures continue .... just keep looking at Payton's expressions. She WANTED to meet all these characters. I promise! The idea to her is more appealing than the reality)
Mommy's Favorite: Cinderella
"It's Belle From Boooooty and the Beast!"
Once breakfast was over, it was time to explore!
"Mommy it's Goofy! Goofy Right There!"
Lots of excitement, until we got close!

I Might Be More Excited than Him
He's the perfect age to hit that peak excitement. He totally understands it all, and he's not too old to think it's uncool. This little one had the most amazing day!
He's So Excited!

Frozen Live!
Ok - it was a little long. But it's AMAZING! I could have watched Elsa sing "Let It Go" over and over. (Just when you thought you got that song OUT of your head!)
And then we spent the rest of the afternoon at Disneyland. Basically the girls took off in one direction, and the boys took of to .... Star Wars.

This really was the sweetest moment of the whole day. Barrett was so excited, and a little starstruck. And Parker finally got comfortable and give Mickey and Minnie kisses aaaaaaand gave Mickey the longest hug you've ever seen. We had to MAKE her let him go. So precious.

The next morning was sloooow for all of us! Lots of sleepy eyes and cartoons. Ok the grownups were watching cartoons through sleepy eyes, hoping the kids would calm down until we were done with our coffee. But they had better ideas.
One Last Photo With Taylor Girl
"Here Baby Taylor. Here are my Minnie Ears"
My sister and her family left, and we soaked up every last ounce of vacationing by the beach on our last day.

This girl would smile, and squeal, and jump with delight at the anticipation of a wave coming to touch her toes. She is definitely my beach baby!

And a Mariachi Band
She's snuggling with Gamma because she's terrified of the band
We left early for the airport to make one last stop in San Diego: a little sightseeing, lunch, shopping, and cupcakes. I'd say that's a perfect end to a great vacation!
Cupcake Me Bro
This place was actually pretty cool. The owner of Frost Me Gourmet Cupcake won on an episode of Cupcake Wars, and we got to taste some of her winning recipes! They were goooood.
Twinkies Ready to Go Home
Life is way more fun when you always have your best friend by your side. Even when I'm exhausted from too much vacation fun, these two know how to get me!
Watching Airplanes with Gamma
Vacation. Over.
Another great trip for us and the little in the books! We have so many more adventure to look forward to in the next few months ... but first .... it's time to catch up on some SLEEP!
